2011 WALK Update
History Wasn't Made - But on a beautiful New Paltz autumn day, 115 Walkers participated in the 2011 New Paltz CROP Walk. Sheila Fishman lead Walkers in song and an inspiring prayer by Rev. Tobias Anderson of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church sent Walkers on their way. Total of $15,434.00 was raised through online donations, sponsored walkers, and a silent auction. Want to thank all walkers, sponsors, registration volunteers and donors who helped make another successful CROP Walk.
The 2011 WALK starting from SUNY Parking Lot #18. Up So. Manheim to Rte 299 (Main Street), down to the Wallkill Rail Trail and headed north to Wallkill Bridge. At the check-in tables, on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, Walkers were treated with fresh apples provided by Hurds Family Farm and fruit mixtures provided by Christ the King Charismatic and Clintondale Christian Church. Wallkill View Farm also supplied the Clintondale check-in table with bananas. Walkers had a choice of free ice cream cone tickets handed out on return to SUNY Parking lot, provided by Stewart's Ice Cream, or a cupcake certificate from Moxie Cupcakes.
