    Emergency Response - CWS Emergency Response Program helps the faith community play its special role in disaster mitigation, preparedness, and response in the U.S. and around the world.
    Immigration & Refugee - Nearly 35 million people around the world are uprooted from their homes and communities by persecution and armed conflict. The Immigration and Refugee Program of Church World Service (CWS/IRP) is an ecumenical family empowering churches to show hospitality to strangers, that is, to immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers and other uprooted people in the United States and around the world.
    Social & Economic Development - Millions of people worldwide live on the edge of subsistence, at the will of fragile economies, struggling to escape the crushing grip of poverty and powerlessness. Most are hungry--and they need more than a handout. They need a way out.
    Mission Relationship & Worship - People of faith the world over have the strength and knowledge to take the leadership role in addressing their own challenges. So one of the best ways to help is to talk... to listen... to learn... and to share resources appropriate to people's identified needs.
    Education & Advocacy -   Speaking out for those who can't. Our connection to partners in over 80 countries informs and inspires our work in education and advocacy. Confronting the root causes of hunger is an essential complement to our overseas work. By raising awareness about poverty, the HIV/AIDS epidemic, human rights and peace-building, CWS brings the voices of our partners into the halls of churches, community groups and our government.
